Golden Gai time.

A peculiar pocket of Shinjuku, is called Golden Gai. An insane maze of alleys and lane ways that are home to over 200 tiny bars.  We took a spin around it in the afternoon when it was like a spooky ghost town, with everyone still in bed sleeping of last nights hang over.  Then we checked back in at the end of the evening on our way home to see how the nightlife was progressing.  Most of these little hole in the walls only host about 10 people for drinks and their own eclectic bar snacks.

Fun in the Golden Gai.
