New York Nic-nak's 12.

Hungry for a Hotdog?
A Kenny Scharf work in Chelsea.

Bill Cunningham @ Bergdorf Goodman.

After browsing through seven floors of outrageous luxury at Bergdorf Goodman's store, 754 5th Avenue we departed through the side entrance on 57th Street and check out the windows.  We feel a presence behind us and look around to see the enigmatic
Bill Cunningham sneaking in a snap.  Then he's off in a flash and onto his bike, shy as anything.

What a fantastic way to end our stay in New York City.

Shopping the Big Apple. Spring 2012.

Shopping in NYC anything goes, but trending really has to go to the fluro, while icy pastels are back  making a bit of summer show.  Hot colour = Orange. And a million distillations born from McQueens "Crabclaw" are stomping the pavements.  Check out fun new line "Joe Fresh" by fashion Czar Joe Mirman of Club Monaco fame.  From Canadian supermarket to 5th Avenue NYC.

The temple of Prada on Broadway.  Mega display for The Met Gala and exhibition, ode to Schiaparelli.

Diane von Furstenburg retail/studio windows in Meatpacking.

Abercrombie & Fitch.

The gratuitous A&F front of house guy.  Well who could resist and we didn't even have to que.
Say cheese.

Diarama delights.

The mighty American Museum of Natural History.  This is another of those amazingly huge collections that has been gathered together in New York and is such a valuable resource.  We loved the dinosaurs, but it is the painstakingly meticulous diorama's that were our greatest love.

A brilliant day out.

The Baroness arrives.

Known as The Baroness by her New York cohorts, our friend Laurina was straight off her flight, into a LBD and at East of Eighth in a flash.  Just down the street from The Chelsea hotel on 23rd West, its a little local full of characters.  Bit like being in an episode of Cheers, Friends and Seinfeld all at once.

Welcome back.
