European night of Museums.

Last night was the European Night of Museums , an evening when many of the museums around stay open until 12 midnight and allow free entry.  We spent our time at the Musee Cluny .  Being a museum dedicated to the middle ages it was spectacular to view it in the dim evening light.  Our favorite being,

This fabulous suite of six large tapestries, tells the story of the lady and the unicorn.  Amazing.

Beautifully carved statue.

In the fore court there was even a public display of swordsmanship for the night time revellers.
