Hasti Bala big bang.

The Carlton's Hasti Bala bar was given a jungle themed big bang of a welcoming party to officially kick it into being.  Tracy, James, Hanna and their cast of cannibals treated us all to endless buckets of punch and fine morsels to snack on.  Even though it was only supposed to be  a seven to nine event we all tumbled out of there at a much, much later time with shaded memories.  At one stage in the evening there was so much leopard print in the room you could have sworn that you were at a Maria Venuti festival, or maybe we were just hanging out on Lillian Franks's patio.

Hasti Bala your day and get lost in the jungle of delights @ 3rd floor 193-199 Bourke Street, Melbourne.

Ten on @ Fortyfivedown.

Melbourne's most marvellous, not for profit, gallery and performance space Fortyfivedownstairs is ten years strong.  To celebrate they threw a brilliant little soiree last evening.

The creative love child of Mary Lou Jelbart and Julian Burnside, Fortyfivedownstairs, is an essential treasure in Melbourne's artscape.

The Castle have a wonderful history with this fabulous venue, as Mr Brown has held five exhibitions in their beautiful gallery space.

Mr Brown & Moira Finucane

The queen of The Burlesque Hour, Moira Finucane, was our masterful mistress of ceremonies, as we saluted the hard work, dedication and determination of this fine institution.

Congratulations Mary Lou, Julian, Philippa and Co.
