Philip Boon Presents.................. ML Vintage.

Mix Tape took us back to the 80's last week and this week we took a trip back one more decade to the 70's.  The fabulous stylist to the stars Mr Philip Boon in conjunction with Prahran Mission hosted a luncheon @ Circa in St Kilda to showcase the amazing collection of ML Vintage.  This truly incredible collection, amassed by the vivacious Mary Lipshut, who has been importing exquisite European fashions since the 1960's, was a treat to behold.  An army of models with their hair frizzed and teased to perfection, glided amongst the lunching ladies, wearing Andres Courreges, Emilio Pucci, early Missoni  and other such gems.

Melbourne's answer to Iris Apfel, the beautiful and energetic Shirley Strauss and Lola Shattner.

Mr Boon and our wonderful chanteuse for the afternoon Hetty Kate.

A wonderful event that confirmed that design and quality transcends time.
Alas Mrs Lipshut has deternined to retire by the time she reaches 90 (at a sprightly 88 we don't know why?) so if you are clever enough to relieve her of gem or two from her hoard,
visit ML Vintage @3/7 Almaida Crescent in South Yarra.

Thank you to Gwendolynne for some of these stunning images included.
