The Best of the Best a concept charity evening originating from one of New Yorks better off neighbourhoods arrived in Melbourne to bolster the coffers of our
40 locally noted designer/organisation/gallery/identities were invited to go for gold on a table top setting. The results were wide and varied and on the whole quiet fantastical.

Christine Barro for Christine boutique finally settled on a centrepiece of a large sculpted snail by William Eicholtz surrounded by a garden of cabbages, with the table flanked by two Gavin Brown floral painting and guarded by two Venetian Blackamoor figures, also sprouting cabbages.
Gorgon the snail gets an acrobatic imp, but that you can see in the second part of this Best of the Best essay.
