A surprising and delightful gem hidden away in back streets of South Melbourne is the See Yup Temple. Dating back to 1866, this was a important social and religious hub for the early immigrant Cantonese Chinese who had come to try their luck on the goldfields.
Today it still has a wonderful oriental atmosphere mingling with its Victorian aesthetic.
Pay a visit at 76 Raglan Street, South Melbourne.
