Bogyoke Market, Yangon.

As is our habit when away, first stop in a new destination and we seek out the local market. The market of note in Yangon is Bogyoke, or Scott's market as it was formally known. This sprawling hive of activity is housed in a maze of buildings over two levels.  Its main fare of trade, much to our delight was collectables (reads Nic-Naks), gems and textiles.
Along with the endless myriad of fabrics was a thriving trade of tailors and seamstresses that cheerfully worked away on the upper floor of the complex, making all manner of clothing and costumes.
Although not a food and produce market, they catered for fantastic lunch time feasting and whizzed up the best juices we have ever consumed.  Top marks to the banana and avocado juices.
