The National Gallery of Victoria's Winter blockbuster this season is Napoleon.  The majesty of this Empire style show shines in several of the exquisite pieces.  Although a little disappointing in its staging, it's still a show worthy of a cold, rainy afternoons delight.

Borobudur, Java.

A year or two ago we traveled to Bali for a winter break.  To add a little more culture and adventure we jumped a flight to Yogyakarta, across on the island of Java, to explore the temple complex of Borobadur.

This amazing world heritage site dates back to the 9th century.  It was lost in the jungles for some time but is now back to its impressive majestic self.  

More than worthy of a long journey to discover the delights of this wonderful site.
