Abercrombie & Fitch.

The gratuitous A&F front of house guy.  Well who could resist and we didn't even have to que.
Say cheese.

Diarama delights.

The mighty American Museum of Natural History.  This is another of those amazingly huge collections that has been gathered together in New York and is such a valuable resource.  We loved the dinosaurs, but it is the painstakingly meticulous diorama's that were our greatest love.

A brilliant day out.

The Baroness arrives.

Known as The Baroness by her New York cohorts, our friend Laurina was straight off her flight, into a LBD and at East of Eighth in a flash.  Just down the street from The Chelsea hotel on 23rd West, its a little local full of characters.  Bit like being in an episode of Cheers, Friends and Seinfeld all at once.

Welcome back.

Washington Square Park

Perfect Spring weather on the weekend brings all of New York out into the parks and public spaces of the city.  Sun baking, strolling, lunching listening to the music or just doing their thing.  Its people watching paradise.  Here in Washington Square Park we had it all going on.

New York Nic-nak's 10.

Not too many places left to smoke in New York, but you can still find a classic cigar store Indian around.

Greenwich/West Village nightlife.

Christopher Park @ Sheridan Square and Christopher Street.
Gay liberation sculpture by George Segal.

The Monster is an institution in the West Village and Mr. Brown was excited to be here for a tipple again, 19 years on from his last visit to New York City.  And apparently it really hadn't changed much.
With a piano in the corner pouring out show tunes and old favourite singsongs , we had a hoot.
Below with Mr. Brown it the wonderful 80 year old Michael Algra from Astoria, Queens NYC.
A puppeteer, he proudly told us that it was his work in "The Sound of Music" with the goats and goatherder.  He likes to pop down to The Monster every Friday evening and grab a few cocktail and sing a tune or two. He was also had a Marilyn Monroe story or two to tell and drew us a little portrait on a napkin.  What a great inspiration he was.

We moved on for a look at Stonewall, which was a little disappointing and dull and the took a turn for the sleazier side of the village and saw some dancing and drag @ Boots & Saddle, 76 Christopher Street.

Strip for cash go-go.

Kooky/spooky drag goes wild thanks to Sharon Needles win on RPDR.
All getting very Halloween.

Making new friends on the subway.  Some randoms.

Of course we trust you with our camera.

Walkin' the walk.

Such a beautiful sunny Spring day called for a walk, so it was off to the iconic Brooklyn bridge for a stroll and some amazing sight lines back to Manhattan.  A highly recommended outing.
