Dining @ Capizzi.

We wanted to get that New York pizza experience, so we tried Capizzi @ 547 9th Ave. and W40th.
Just a few blocks from our apartment, it was a fine choice, we got a very romantic, Moonstuck, experience with one of the best salads and brilliant wood fired pizza, all to a very nostalgic soundtrack.

Even our Panna Cotta dessert received special attention with a honey/raspberry/chocolate sauce, signature flourish.  Only bummer was they had run out of homemade Sicilian Leomade.

The Metropolitan marathon. Part 1.

Tales of plunder and philanthropy, power and passion.  This is a collection of epic proportions, so we resolve to limit ourselves to the 1st floor only for our initial foray into this behemoth of a museum. From Egyptian to Medieval, Greek and Roman to Arms and Armor. Arts from Africa, Oceania and the Americas. A touch on Modern and Contemporary arts and many interior tableaux later, we were amazed but arted out.

Whats not to like about it.  Tell that to our feet.
Round 2 this week = Floor 2.
It's a hell of a lot of Nic-nak's to get through.
