Swooning at Sanssouci Palace.

Such glorious weather to be wandering around in Potsdam at Sanssouci Park, past the New Chambers with its windmill, on to the Sanssouci Palace its self.

This little mini palace is on one level, this is the specific idea of its creator, Fredrick II, as he wished to be able to walk straight out into the gardens and grounds from any of the rooms.

The Rococo interiors are a splendid delight, a scaled back grandeur with a froth of cursive, organic gilding.

Bidding Sanssouci farewell from the fountain.  What an incredible confection of Chinoiserie and Rococo elegance and fantasy.

Then a wander through the elegant streets of Potsdam.
