Berlin by bike.

Much to our delight and good fortune, our wonderful accomodation came with two lovely bicycles for our riding pleasure.  So with fine weather in sight we took to the wheels and peddle pushed our way about Berlin.  And what a wonderful, bicycle friendly city it is.

First a quick stop by at The Kaiser Wilhelm Memorial Church

aiser-Wilhelm-Gedächtnis-Kirche

Then a spin past the gates of Berlin Zoo on our way to the Tier Gartens

Hmm what happened to the lawn?

Brandenberg Gate

Sunning on the Spree.

Then after a winding tour along side the Spree and a spot of lunch we arrive at Schloss Charlottenberg.  The grandest Berlin Palace with more interiors to intrigue us.

Ahh.  Another Rococo riot.

And just to mix it up, some super silver gilding.

Ahh that was a long day on the saddle.
