Shwenandaw Monastery, or as it is better know, the Teak temple is an amazingly building, intricately carved and originally totally gilded in gold leaf. Originally part of the royal palaces, it was moved outside of the palace grounds as it was thought to be haunted by a dead king. Luckily for us this happened as its the only part of the palace to survive.
Such a beautiful structure.
Across the way is the imposing Atumashi Monastery, spectacular in its own way.
