For a family outing on Saturday morning we went to visit the American Cemetery & Memorial in the Fort Bonifacio area. It was quite fascinating as an oasis of green, orderly calm atop a hill surrounded by the general hum and chaos that is Manila. Beautifully designed and manicured to within an inch of its existence, we revelled in peace and clear sunshine before the heat of the day.
But don't think too much about relaxing here. As we entered the grounds we were given an extensive list of do's and don'ts- No Modeling, No Sports Attire, No Picnics, No laying on the grass. Basically no fun. Guess it is a cemetery after all, but try telling a toddler not to run, or Mr Brown not to model.
Our fabulous Manila family.
