L'orangerie encore.

Two years ago we enjoyed the delights of l'orangerie in a Parisian Spring.  Here is a little reminiscence of this wonderful museum and its incredible Monet's.

Take a turn with us.

We love Paris in the Springtime. J'adore.

Best of the Best Gala.

Best of the Best Gala.
Lights, Limos, Drinks, Socialites,
just do your best....of the best, sweetie.

Christine Barro's amazing table setting garnered much attention and delight with its inclusion of a live element.  The wonderful elfen acrobat Simon sat astride the Gorgon snail and entertained the bemused crowd of socialites, dames bankers and philanthropists.

Bronzed to perfection, swathed in jewels from Christine and wearing nothing but two silken scarves from Christopher Graf, you can understand why he was adored by all.

Meanwhile the rest of the room was abuzz with air kisses, oohs and aahs and clinking champagne flutes  as the 500 guests revelled in the creative delights of Melbourne's inaugural Best of the Best dinner.

The Marabou shrug was a popular item for the evening.

National Gallery of Victoria's own table was a quirky, tongue-in-cheek nod to the dinner theme, as the party appeared to have already happened, before dinner was even served...

After dinner there were auctions and dancing and plenty more merry making

What a blaze of glamour. Congratulations to the NGV Women's Association for organising this gala affair.  We hope that they raise oodles of cash for some more great acquisitions at the gallery.
