Madison Avenue.

After a hectic spin around the ground floor of The Met (we concluded that one floor at a time would be more than enough), we needed a little retail torture so we strolled back downtown to 42nd along Madison Avenue.  From the Ralph Lauren Mansion's (above is the Men's, Women's is on the opposite corner and is another 4 floors on opulence) to the Tom Ford temple and all other lux brands in-between.  

So much walking done, guess we could do with our shoes renewed.

Gilbert & George, London Pictures @ NYC.

Down in Chelsea it was the double opening of Gilbert & George's new venture "London Pictures". This dynamic duo worked the room with their usual soft shtick, but were ever the gentlemen. They inhabited not one, but two galleries, Lehmann Maupin, in which we could chat to these kindly gents and also Sonnabend.  We were accompanied by our gorgeous Melbourne friend, who now resides in New York, Nikki Iacovella, which made for an absolutely charming evening.
