Monkeying around at Nic-Nak Castle.

Mr Browns mania for printing took to the walls of Nic-Nak Castles West Wing on a spare holiday afternoon just recently.  A frieze had long been discussed but the stipulation had been for Monkeys, so once the Monkey blocks had been carved, there seemed no excuse to delay the decoration.  So  now a riot of Passion Flowers, Acanthus Leaves, Peonies and said Monkeys frolic above the picture rail.  A touch of hand tinting is still to come.  Stay tuned.

Midsumma Carnival 2016.

Melbourne turned on a hot and sunny afternoon for the 2016 edition of Carnival, Midsumma Festivals main event.  Thousands of gay/queer/trans/bi and other odd assorted folks descended on the Alexandra Gardens by the banks of the Yarra River for a sizzling day of fun and entertainment. Awash with a sea of colour and a million rainbow flags Carnival delivered its usual dose of culture, campers and carry-on.

And as the sun set on another Carnival Day it was time to amp up the tunes for another instalment of T-Dance to round out the festivities.
