Jenny Kee. A New Beginning.

Jenny Kee came to Melbourne town last week to officially introduce her "A New Beginning" collection of limited edition knitwear to a colourful crowd of fans,  both old and new.  Under the gaze of her trademark red eyeglass frames, dazzlingly incorporated into the window display of Australian flora, created by the clever Benja Harney of Paperform fame, she enthused the gathered masses to the reworking of her fabulous designs.  With generous lashings of Prosecco laced with Hibiscus liqueur provided by host Melanie from Pieces of Eight Gallery, it was a truly fabulous and fun soiree.

Zip in quick if you would like to view and order your own piece of Jenny Kee knitted heaven.  You only have until Saturday the 28th of March and it really is a must see, (we did warn you a month ago in our previous post, Pieces of Eight X Jenny Kee)

Martin Allen nic-nak's The Johnston Collection.

Our very clever friend Martin Allen, antique dealer and art purveyor, has just been bestowed with the great honour of giving The Johnston Collection a re-shuffle.  The great collection of the late William Johnston which is housed in a secret location (its not that secret, just a couple of terraces in East Melbourne) is given a re bedazzle every 4 months or so by guest curators.  Martin has taken on the brief whole heartedly and with gusto and placed his Thomas Chippendale Junior stamp all through the home.  Being able to draw on vast catalogue of stored treasures amassed over the years by Mr Johnston, Martin has set a lush scene with a fun dose of humour.
