Play day on Elizabeth Bay.

We took a sunny Sunday morning stroll through Kings Cross and down to Elizabeth Bay.  We arrived at the Elizabeth Bay Marina and discovered the wonderful new Betty Chu cafe.  This is the latest addition to Nahji Chu's empire of Vietnamese vittles vending venues, known to most as MissChu tuckshops.   We were lucky enough to find the fabulous Nahji there herself, overseeing the Sunday brunching masses.  She took a little time out to give us a spin around Elizabeth Bay and show off the sights.

Thanks for the spin, with Nahji & George.

Ah, Sydney by the water on a superb sunny day, whats not to love.

Great Gehry @ UTS

University of Technology, Sydney (UTS), has scored in the adventurous architecture for educational institution stakes, with their freshly minted Frank Gehry marvel, the Dr Chau Chak Wing building.  The Canadian born architectural whizz, Gehry, has given Sydney a gem with this buckled brick building, studded with protruding square windows.  On a sunny Sydney day, against the crisp blue sky, its sure cuts a damn fine silhouette.

The Country Trader selection.

A visit to Sydney is never complete without setting aside an hour or two to comb through the wonderful collection of nic-naks amassed in the labyrinth of The Country Traders Waterloo headquarters.  Such a grand cache of decorative objet, old and new, all displayed with brilliant style and aplomb. The hoard of desirable decorative delights crammed within these walls is more than enough to fill several castles.  The diligent staff were more than happy for us to roam free and snap away at will.
