Melbourne fashion visionary, the irrepressible Jenny Bannister was honoured by her close friend and current collaborative sidekick, Mr Philip Boon, who produced and presented a stellar retrospective cavalcade of her many, many, many styles. Generously hosted at the Deutcher and Hackett Auction House and in aid of the fabulous Prahran Mission charitable organisation, this was a true celebration of the style and passion of one of our greatest textile artisans. With a creative career spanning over four decades, her vision and energies have never waned. Her punk tinged roots have constantly been reflected over the many evolutions of her garments.
Of course such an event could only collect an audience of extraverted, avant garde well wishers and fans.
Showtime and a slew of models stalked the floor in rolling waves of collections through the decades.
Hello Linda Jackson
A short set by 80's chanteuses, The Chantoozies, in Vintage Bannister stage attire certainly brought back a time and a place we had all but forgotten.

Bravo to Boon & Bannister for such a brilliant presentation.
