White Night Wonders.

We joined the thronging masses for Melbourne's incarnation of the international franchise, White Night (Nuit Blanche).  In its sophomore season in our city, it certainly drew a crowd.  We only manage a brief and early visit, starting on the south side of the river at the tattooed NGV facade and then marvelling at Alexandra Garden's offerings, notably Julio Le Parc's "Lumieres en vibration" & Craig Walsh's "Monuments".

Across the Bridge in

Once we crossed Princes Bridge into the wonderland of lights dazzled along Flinders street we encountered many of the half million happy gawkers shuffling along Swanston street.  It was about then that we resolved to next year go much later for longer.

Busy but still a brilliant blinding White Night.

Bookhouse bash.

The learned folk from Bookhouse, threw a swell little soiree last evening to celebrate the opening of their new location.  Tucked snuggly of the main St Kilda drag at
52 Robe Street, St Kilda,
they have done a wonderful job at tarting up the old Nefertiti Egyptian video store and its now a clever and cosy book lovers nook.

Pop in and peruse a retro magazine or a nifty vintage novel, grab a limited edition artbook, just make sure you give the Bookhouse a visit.
