7th Heaven.

A blast from he past, in the late 1980's Mr. Brown dabbled in the art of running a nightclub.
Under the artist instructions of Mr. Brown 7th Heaven quickly became a Sunday night
institution for Melbournes party pack.
Many a fresh new DQ cut their stilettos in the weekly pantomime.
Originating at Zuzu's on Russell St and later moving to Cadillac Bar on Swanston St.  It was still a time when the patrons would dresses to impress nearly as much as the wild freak show that was gathered together each week to entertain.  Bar managed by Samantha Drummond, music DJ by Deb Walters,
door bitched by Daryl/ Vivian St.James(depending who she was on the night).  Entertainment/performance
captain Hot Coco led a troupe including Miss Candee, Victoria Bitter, Millie Minogue, Paris, Rita, Babet,
Bob Down, Levi Jones, Barbara Quicksand and many many more.
By the early 1990's it was the place to be.

Stay tuned for 7th Heaven updates.

Correggio @ N.G.V.

The lovely spring weather makes us at the Castle want to get out and about.
So the other weekend we popped along to the National Gallery of Victoria
to take a squiz at our newest acquisition.

Well the new Correggio certainly gets our tick of approval.
Then we just checked in on a few of our other favourite pieces.

These Russian crystal lamps are spectacular.

And this is The Weeping Woman, obviously weeping the lament of the loss of Ancient Antiquities
from the ground floor.  Banished to make room for a kiddie centre/creche. Really.
